MUA conceal and brighten kit - shade porcelain beige.
MUA are a budget beauty brand which are rapidly expanding their line. They started out with bargain beauty staples such as lipsticks ,eyeshadows, eye pencils and nail polishes for the bargainous price of a £1! While these are never gonna win any prizes for design or packaging they deliver what they intend to , good quality affordable products. Since their launch they have one began to expand their line with their Pro-Base collection.
The conceal and brighten kit is one of the first products to launch in this collection which aims to provide blend able camouflage to cover blemishes, scarring, birthmarks and is light enough to use under the eyes.
Inside the pallette contains 2 concealers and a cream highlighter. The two concealers can be mixed to create the ideal shade to match your skin tone while the highlighter provides a lovely shimmery glow . I usually use the lightest shade concealer for my blemishes and the darker shade under my eyes which contains a salmon shade and helps counteract any blue or purple undertones.
I found the concealers a great match to my skin tone and where very easy to blend. They have a creamy consistency and feel light on the skin and as said before can easily be used under the eyes without feeling dry or cakey. Coverage is good and can easily be built p to create the coverage you need. These are best set with a powder as they ate cream concealers to prevent shine and slip. I found that I got a good 6 hours wear without the need for touch ups although one downside is that I found I did get more oiler than usual wherever this had been applied but that is the only complaint and a minor one at that.
These are a great everyday makeup staple and well worth the £2.50 price tag. Suitable for all skin types but those with oily /combination skin may tend to get slightly shinier than normal.
There are 3 shades in the range , porcelain, natural and beige which all tend to be on the lighter side of the colour spectrum which is slightly disappointing but hopefully MUA will expand this further once release has been rolled out further.
The conceal and brighten kit can be purchased from selected Superdrug stores and from the
MUA Store
